Woman Inventor: Jessica O Mattews

Jessica O  Mattew is a Nigerian-America Inventor, CEO and Venture Capital, She is the Co-founder of Uncharted Power, which made SOCCKET, a soccer ball that can be used as a power generators.


Jessica's career is an inventor and entrepreneur began at the age of 19, when she invented the SOCCKET ball, an energy generating soccer ball that provides off grid power for developing world. At the age of 22, she became the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Uncharted Play, Inc., where she currently drives the creative vision of an award winning social enterprise with a mission to disarm social ill by inspiring people to lead playful jjlines. Expanding her research to global infrastructural project at age of 26, jessica became a Co-founder and Executive Director of KDDC, a 30 megawatt hydropower dam in Nigeria- one of the first to be privatized inn the country.

Jessica's research and career centres around disruptive technology,consumer behaviour, and social psychology. A dual citizen of Nigeria and U.S., Jessica has a degree in psychology and Economics from Harvard Business School. She is currently the Ambassador for Entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

Her list of accolades include the Forbes 30 under 30 list in 2014, Black Enterprises innovative of the year in 2013, Scientist of the year by the Harvard Foundation (2012), and one of the " 10 most powerful women Entrepreneurs" by Fortune 2012.
